Passionate, dedicated, and loving, Small Steps Early Childhood Educators love their work and it shows in everything they do.  Our goal is to make a positive difference on every child who comes to our facility.

Melanie Gamble

ECE - Level III

Director

With a diploma in Early Childhood Education and over 30 years experience, I have always found joy in observing and participating in the growth and development of young children. Watching them discover new things and accomplish new tasks is the most  fulfilling & rewarding experience! I am very grateful that I get to do what I love and have an amazing team that shares the same passion to work with everyday.

Outlook's small town atmosphere makes it easy to form  relationships with the families of the children.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with family. I have 3 boys who have grown up way too fast! I also love travelling, gardening, cooking, reading, time at the lake and most other outdoor activities as long as its warm!

My name is Kendra and I started working at Small Steps in Sept 2017 and have loved every minute of it! I am an educator with the infants and toddlers and our days are full of exploring, giggles and cuddles.  Currently I am working through my Early Childhood Diploma. I have grown up in Outlook and in my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends, crocheting and drinking tea!

Hi there. My name is Jessica Young. I have always enjoyed working with and learning alongside children. I got my Early childhood education diploma from SIAST in 2010, and have worked in different child care facilities and early learning centers ever since.

I got married in 2015 to my husband, Jamie, and became stepmom to Veda and Jace. We moved to Kenaston from Saskatoon in the Spring of 2016, and welcomed our son, Nash, in 2017. We also have 3 cats and a dog. It's never a dull (or quiet) moment at our house.

Aidanne

ECE - Level II

Hi there, my name is Zirylle Aidanne (I go by Aidanne). I have been working at Small Steps since 2016, two months after I moved to Canada. Prior to immigrating to Canada to follow my husband, I worked at an international school in the Philippines as a preschool teacher.

I completed my education at the University of the Philippines in Los Banos, Laguna and Philippine Normal University in Manila. My husband and I are blessed with a daughter named Zacha, who attends and enjoys being at Small Steps ELC. I love traveling and creating memories for us to share. I enjoy working with children and loves creating intentional learning opportunities for them.

“To live, is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.”
- Oscar Wilde
Children bring the type of joy that makes a life worth living! My name is Emily, and I started working at Small Steps in August of 2019. I had moved to Vancouver to pursue acting, but decided Childcare was where my heart really lives, so I moved home and haven’t looked back since. I’ve worked with all age groups, but nothing compares to the amount of growth I get to experience alongside infants & toddlers!

Infant & Toddler Room - Bluebird Group - Lead Teacher

Hi! My name is Mari (rhymes with starry). I grew up in Outlook where I now live with my sister and many houseplants. I enjoy playing piano and guitar, singing, cooking, painting, watching movies, folding laundry, and being outside. I love to travel Saskatchewan and take photos of all the places I visit. I like camping and hiking and exploring nature.

I have worked at Small Steps on and off for the last few years, before joining full time in late 2020, and I am working on completing my Level I Early Childhood Education Certificate through Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I love to see children grow and learn and explore the world around them, and I feel so honoured to be included in a child's early learning process.

My name is Bailey Marriott, I’m 21 years old from Rosetown, Sk. I have my Youth Care Worker certificate, as well as my ECE Level 1. I’ve been with Small Steps since June 2019. I have worked with kids of all ages! My specialty is Before & After School Programming. I love art, music & writing! I try to incorporate this into my work, as I love to plan crafts for the kids to do! The kids always put a smile on my face & make every day interesting (in a good way)!
